Mesh Coil Tanks

Brittany Hale1 comment

What exactly are mesh coils?

A mesh coil is a strip of metal with small holes punched into it. This is to maximize the surface area of the metal as well as keep it evenly distributed along the wick. The use of mesh creates a larger surface area contact to the wick, allowing more E-Liquid to be vaporized at once allowing for maximized flavor and vapor production.

What are mesh coil tanks?

Well, here’s the deal with mesh. Mesh is not as new to the vaping industry as one may presume. Mesh was originally used as a wicking material until the introduction of cotton. Once cotton became used for wicking, mesh was retired and somewhat forgotten about until it’s reintroduction, being used as coils. Mesh coils can come as strips for rebuildables or in pre-made for certain tanks. Mesh coil tanks are tanks that are specifically made to be compatible with these pre-made mesh coils.

Pro’s of using a mesh coil tank

  • Your coil with heat much faster. (Faster ramp-up time)
  • Because the mesh covers such a large surface area, it will provide you with more vapor and a much more intense flavor.
  • Consistency of mesh coil tanks is much more reliable because of the even heat distribution.
  • Mesh coils need less power to reach optimum performance, mainly because of the consistent heat distribution we mentioned above.
  • Mesh coils are often compatible with existing tanks.

Conclusion:

If you have not gotten into mesh coils yet, our best advice would be to start and see what you think. These coils allow for maximum flavor and vapor output because of their mesh strip design and the large surface area that can be covered with this type of coil.

Hi, I am very dyslexic so all of the vape stuff is gibberish to me. I have so many different devices but also so many questions. No answers ever from people I ask. Maybe you will know. I have Smok devices, all the cook ones, g priv to Species, each was supposed to come with a coil installed, not one of them did. I have probably 8 devices. Plus a few other brands, the big bad mods…my question is, I don’t know a thing about coils, how do i know what to buy for which one? My Eleaf Lexicon is in need, can’t find one anywhere. Then, the question, can i use 50 mg salt nic in them, cuz I have been. Will it wreck my devices or me? Why don’t they put this stuff on the box? Just because I am at the level beyond the e cig, doesn’t mean I know shit about ohms, coils, tanks, or anything else for that matter. They need to write something that treats me like the novice that i am. I am ignorant and want to learn, but being dyslexic and reading the instructions in the boxes, i will never learn a thing. Thank you, Tracy. Btw, i also have quite a few pods
