What is the best Mod for Vaping?
Choosing the right vape mod comes down to a number of factors. To help you choose what type of vaping device would work best for you, first decide what style of vaping suits your needs. Are you a cloud chaser looking for a high wattage mod that will pair nicely with a Sub-Ohm Tank? Or are you in the market for a device that is discrete and will work with Nicotine Salt E-Liquids? The vape mod category descriptions below will help you decide which vape mod is best for you!
Vape Box Mods are the most common vaping devices, offering versatility and battery life capable of all-day-vaping. Customization and power range are two of the features which users like about box mods. Most of the devices within this category contain a chip set that allows the user to customize their vaping experience. These chip set features often include: adjustable wattage, adjustable voltage, temperature control, puff counter, battery life indicator, atomizer resistance, power boost function, and several layers of built-in protection for user safety. Some chip sets even include features such as: time and date, customizeable wallpaper, and Bluetooth connection. Box mods offer great battery life with the larger box-like chassis since they are able to house two batteries or a large built-in Li-Po battery. Most box mods accept two 18650 vape batteries ran in series, and can be charged via a built-in micro USB charging port. Adding to the versatility of these devices, the user can choose to pair their box mod with all types of atomizers such as: Sub-Ohm Tanks, MTL Tanks, RDAs, RTAs, and other rebuildable atomizers.
The new generation of Tube Mods have several advantages and disadvantages when compared to the more commonly used box mods. New generation tube mods are designed to be as safe and reliable as your standard box mod with the integration of a variable wattage chip set or mosfet chip set. Due to their smaller design, variable wattage tube mods offer simplified features found in box mods such as adjustable wattage at a lower power range, battery life indicator, and on-board charging. Some of these tube mods have a small screen and adjustment buttons, while other use a potentiometer for power adjustment and a back light indicator. On the other hand we have mosfet protected tube mods which offer all the safety features, but no power adjustability. These devices are geared towards user in search of a more sophisticated looking device to use with their rebuildable atomizers. The output power of these vaping devices is based on the current battery state and outputs the voltage of the battery itself. For this reason, these devices often do not work well with Sub-Ohm Tanks and should only be used with rebuildables such as an RDA. The most noticeable pro/con of a tube mod is the fact that they can only use a single battery or have a smaller built-in battery than what is found in a box mod. This can be seen as a pro because it allows the device to be much smaller and thus more portable; while some may find it as a con due to the limited battery life.
Squonk Box Mods
Maintaining majority of the key features of your standard box mod, a Squonk Box Mod offers a unique feature for those that prefer using an RDA. Squonk box mods house a small vape juice bottle, which feeds to the 510 center pin via a feed tube. This allows the user to juice their coils when combined with a bottom feeding squonk RDA without having to "drip" from the top. Squonking is an advanced vaping style for vape enthusiasts that enjoy the great flavor and dense vapor created from a dripping atomizer. Vape Starter Kits
Vape Starter Kits are great for beginners and veteran vapers alike. A vape starter kit typically comes with one of the three styles of vape mods listed above, a vape tank or RDA, spare parts, coils, and a charging cable. If you are unsure of what vape sub-ohm tank will work with any specific vape mod, a vape starter kit is perfect for you since the tank and mod included in them are designed to work together. The only two things you will need to use a vape starter kit are batteries (unless the included vape mod has an internal battery) and your favorite vape juice!
Ultra Portable Vapes and AIO Vapes
If nothing above sounds like the type of vaping system for you, then maybe an Ultra Portable or AIO Vape is what you need. Ultra Portable and All In One Vapes are vape systems in a smaller form factor that still retain many of the functions found in a standard box mod or tube mod. These systems often use a higher ohm coil system or MTL coil system, which produces less vapor than those found in regular starter kits. Since these devices are compact, they typically have a small built-in LiPo battery which performs best in the lower wattage range in order to sustain battery life.
Pod Vape Systems
Pod Vape Systems are the most intuitive vaping systems and are quickly gaining popularity amongst all types of vapers. These systems can come as closed pods or open pods. Closed pod system pods are non refillable and come pre-filled in selected flavors offered by the respective brand, like JUUL. Open pod system pods are refillable and come empty so that the user can use their preferred choice of Salt Nic E-Liquids. Most pod vapes use a draw activation system which eliminates the need for a button, lock feature, or on/off switch. Pod vapes are the smallest form factor for all vape systems, utilize a minimalist design with no button or a single button, have a built-in battery, and on-board charging; perfect for users looking to make the switch.
