If you are new to the industry or just want to learn more about our industry and culture, this is the article for you. Vape culture is such a unique and new niche, yet the community is continuing to grow and flourish. Being a part of the culture means you should know more about the history of the culture, and this culture has some random facts and perks that you may not have been aware of! We decided to throw together this article with 5 cool facts that we wanted to share. 

Vaping has conventions.

Yes, that's right. Vaping is extremely competitive. There are plenty of big conventions all over the world, where vapers get together and share their love for the vaping world. These conventions usually have booths where vaping brands such as, Smoktech and Kangertech can set up shop to sell and mingle with their consumers. Also, there are different vaping stores that set up so you can buy and bring home whatever you want and need. They also have competitions where experienced cloud chasers could compete and show off their best tricks.

The most popular vaping conventions including ECC in Los Angeles; Vape Expo in Miami and TPC in Las Vegas. There are more and more conventions hosted all around the world now.  This year, Shenzhen eCig Expo (IECIE) 2019 will be the 5th edition of the show based in Shenzhen, the headquarter of the e-cig industry. In 2018, CECMOL has successfully opened the first vape show in Japan, and the second one on May 23-25, 2019, will be even bigger and more influential!

Vaping was around for a very long time before it became popular.

The idea was first introduced in 1927, when a patent was filed. The patent was approved in 1930, but nothing ever really came about from it. In the 1960's, the first prototype was made which closely resembles today's e-cigarette. It was not until 2003 that the first commercially successful vape was brought about in China by Hon Lik, and the first highly popular vaping device in the state was EGO vape pen by Joyetech! This is where the vaping game really began to take off, turning it into the industry we all know and love today. 

Vaping brings people together.

Because vaping has such a community vibe to it, it has created a very peaceful way for people to get together and just relate over the lifestyle. People can relate through sharing experiences, products and attending events.

Vaping does not smell like smoking!

You heard us right. Vapor is nowhere near as dense and sticky as smoke, allowing it to evaporate as opposed to linger. In other words, it will barely, if at all, stick to your clothes or car and if it does, it will most likely smell good, depending on your choice of e juices. This single fact about vaping is considered a huge plus by many people looking into vaping. 

Vaping is huge on social media.

Social media is a great place to show off your stuff and to market your products/events and this doesn’t stop for vaping. Many vapers can do some awesome tricks that are more than social media worthy. Not to mention, there are many ways that companies use vaping to market their products and their brands. Many companies have made agreements with social media influencers where they compensate them to promote their brand.
