"I smoked for 25 years, no real success at quitting regardless of what I tried. I picked up vaping 2 years ago and it took 4 months to get away from a two pack a day smoker. I did not get a pod system i got an actual vape box mod and tank, well several tanks because it was easier to fill 5 tanks than try swapping flavors in one or 2 tanks. In those two years I went from 6 mg to 0 mg have no cravings for smokes, cloves or cigars. But I cannot seem to put down my 0 nic vape yet. And I am unsure of why that is. For me personally, it helped me 100% to quit smoking cigarettes and quit nicotine. But if i had to do it without different flavors I would have just gone back to cigarettes and failing to quit. Sorry for the grammar and other “ spbellin errers “ "

"THANK YOU for sharing this information! All this hype has come forward so quickly, I’ve definitely been one of the people with anxiety about it! I smoked for 30+ years and had tried everything to quit. It wasn’t until I started vaping that I was able to put it down. I started at 18% three years ago, and I’m now down to 3%. I do want to get to 0%, but STILL want to continue vaping, even after my nicotine addiction is gone! I enjoy it! It makes absolutely ZERO sense to stop an adult from making their own decision whether to vape or not, when they are still allowing cigarettes to be purchased! I completely agree with safety regulations or age restrictions, but to ban it completely, especially so quickly, isn’t right! Thanks again for the info!"

from Kelly

"I smoked for 31 years, and on January 24th 2013, I started to vape. I haven’t had a cigarette since, coming up on 7 years. I tried all kinds of ways to quit, nothing worked, except vaping. I’ve never had any issues from vaping. These kids today are using all kinds of things to vape, and that is what’s causing these medical issues with their lungs."

from Froglady507

"I haven’t smoked a cigarette since March 10th, 2017. All thanks to vaping! I started at 18mg of nicotine I am now down to 3mg of nicotine. Since starting to vape I immediately felt my body healing from the damage of smoking cigarettes for 10 plus years. I first vaped the nicotine flavors, over time switching to fruity flavors. From what I have been reading about the recent vaping lung issues, and deaths it seems like most of them were purchasing tampered with THC cartridges from people on the street. Why should they punish adult vapors? I agree with age restrictions. I don’t think kids should be vaping. I don’t see why they would ban vaping when all things considered it is still better for your health compared to disgusting cigarettes. I just had to put my two cents in!"

from Jane Kirkpatrick

"I had been smoking Kool for 50+ years and hand no desire to quit. Less than 2 months after retirement, I had my first stroke and the neurologist told me I had to quit cold turkey but not to let my blood pressure go above 140. I tried but my anxiety caused my blood pressure to jump to 175-185 so I knew that was only making things worse. My son got me what was needed to start vaping and by the third day I couldn’t stand the taste of menthol cigarettes. That was over 2 years ago and my health is great and my blood pressure stars around 100, my neurologist is thrilled."

from Rita Andies

"I was a smoker for 35 years, at a pack a day. I had diagnosed COPD but thill couldn’t quit with patches, gum or prescription drugs. My wonderful daughter in-law introduced me to vaping. I made the change from cigarettes to vaping effortlessly. I have been vaping since 2010 and get sick at my stomach just smelling cigarette smoke. My COPD has NOT advanced one bit, proven through medical tests taken yearly. My Pulmonary doctor knows my history and that I currently vape. He has told me that nicotine is no worse for you than caffeine, it’s the other stuff in cigarettes that kills. Since beginning vaping, I regained my sense of smell and taste. I no longer have the hacking smoker cough, I feel good when I wake up, something I never felt while smoking cigarettes. Anyone that thinks we vape because of the sweet flavors is clearly and idiot. Sorry President Trump and wife, but you know nothing. I’ve been there and done that. Buy from you juice a legitimate dealer ( like VaporDNA ) and you’ll be OK."

from Patricia Fowler

"I smoked for 35 years, and cigarettes were killing me I coughed all the time to the point of throwing up. I stopped smoking 4 years ago with vaping and I had tried everything else out there to stop before and couldn’t do it. Yes I use the fruit flavors, because the tobacco flavored e-liquid does not taste like a real cigarette. At first I wanted the cigarette taste but couldn’t stand the cigarette e-liquid so I tried the fruit flavors and now I don’t want to taste the real cigarette anymore. The various flavors play a role in stopping smoking with vaping. I am down to 3mg and hope to go to 0mg and stop vaping also. I think the fruit flavors help to stop smoking because it makes you realize how bad cigarettes taste and smell, plus giving the nicotine to help. If used the right way vaping is the greatest thing to help smokers stop and it does improve our health. If you ban flavors then some will have no option but to maybe buy from people e-liquid on the black market…. Then we would not know what is in it for sure and that will the situation worse just like the problem with the THC cartridges causing sickness and death. A ban will not stop the black market from making it, all it will cause is a bigger black market for e-liquid, put companies out of business and hurt former smokers and that is not fair at all. A ban is not the answer, I am proof that vaping the right way is safe. I hope you will take former smokers into consideration while making decisions that could change our lives for the worse. Thank You"

from Tami Halliday

"I smoked for 30 years or more I switched to vaping 8 years ago and I haven’t looked back. I use a flavored fruit juice and I’m honestly terrified that the government is going to rid the market of them. Thereby sending me back to cigarettes or purchasing black market juices. I enjoy vaping and yes I’m addicted to nicotine. I didn’t start vaping to quit nicotine I started because it was a healthier alternative. That said I have had smoker cough in 8 years. I haven’t gotten winded running stairs in 8 years. I can breathe better and feel better. It’d be a shame to go backwards when I’ve moved forward"

from Christopher H.

"I smoked cigs for 25 years 2 packs a day; needless to say that crap was killing me; I’ve been vaping for three years now cigarette free; I could not have stopped smoking without vaping. I vape dessert flavors and fruit flavors because grown 42 yo men like that!!!! I’m a disabled Army VFW I served my country the least I can do is not be forced to smoke cigs when a clearly healthier option is available. Please do not ban my flavors because most adults do not want to vape cig flavored e-liquids!"

from Sherri White

"After smoking cigarettes for over 30 years for me and 40 for my husband we quit!!! Vaping has saved our lives. My husband coughed and could not walk a mile. After only 4 weeks of vaping he does not cough and we can go for walks without stopping to rest. We have enjoyed NYC and Vegas last year and walked for miles!!"

So please take the time to share your story as well and let our voices be heard that we will never go back to cigarettes.  We will continue to vape because it has done nothing but better our lives.  No more coughing in the early mornings, no more smelling like an ashtray after lunch and no more buying countless packs and littering the streets with cigarette butts.

We are not just a group of strangers fighting for a common cause. We are a community of friends, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, aunts and uncles, grandmas and grandpas fighting for our right to live a healthier life.

Just wanted to add my story to all the other awesome stories! I started smoking when I was 16 or so and four years ago, at 49 years old, I was diagnosed with emphysema/COPD. Despite that frightening diagnosis, I continued to smoke. I just could not slay the dragon. Approximately a year ago, I had four hospital admissions very close together. I was unable to blow off carbon dioxide created by smoking combustible tobacco. My final admission numbers were so scary that my doc said one more cigarette and I probably wouldn’t even make it back to the ER. I was miserable when I got home and someone suggested vaping. I did a little research, watched some YouTube videos, and bought a pen style vape.

A year later, and I’m a totally different woman. I use my oxygen at night, but can go many hours in the day without it. I don’t even know where my nebulizer is. I can go shopping again. I can do household chores again. I have a LIFE again thanks to vaping. Vaping has quite literally saved my life, and I would be heartbroken if I lost it. We must stand together and fight with everything we have to prevent vaping being vilified by media outlets!!

My saga is pretty much the same as many of these. I’d been smoking for 47 years and have been Gagger Free now for just under 19 months. I started out with a 21mg patch, 4mg gum and 28mg juices. That only lasted for the whole 21, 14 to 7mg patch program decreasing the nicotine with the patches. Been down to 3mg juices for about 9 months. Without Flavors I wouldn’t have made it. I started with an Innokin MPV2 and am now the proud owner of 10+ mods. Amazing what I’ve learn over this time and have used the info to help others quit. Letting them try mods before they go buy it has helped a lot too. Feeling a lot better these days, Breathing better too. Now if only it could help with my sleep apnea. Butt hey, Every Day Above Ground Is A Good One. Take care.

I started smoking when I was 17. I am now 56. I tried for years to quit smoking using every alternative on the market! I was never successful until I started vaping. I started with the 18 mg and am currently down to a 6 mg.Now I’m panicking because they’re trying to take it away from us! The flavors (especially mint flavored) are what helped. I use to cough and hack so hard I’d wake myself up in the middle of the night but I don’t anymore! I feel better, I breathe better, I smell better and I don’t want to go back to cigarettes!

Quit smoking in January and I am so happy! Vaping is such a better alternative for the lungs it’s astonishing. Had to put the cigs to rest and let my lungs rest (literally), so im really happy vaping is a way for people like me to quite smoking because that it one of he hardest things to do! Soon i will stop vaping nicotine too and im going to use CBD vaping as my alternative. I’m truly so happy that vaping exists or else i would never have quit smoking. Knowing i can vape without nicotine or use cbd is a life changer. Hopefully we can keep our flavors and this ban doesn’t succeed!

I quit smoking cigarettes 10 years ago.. but I would still struggle with cravings and would sneak out, buy a pack of cigarettes just to smoke one and throw the rest away around once a month. It was only after I decided to try a menthol flavored e-cigarette that I was able to completely get over the cravings. I was a menthol cigarette smoker…. Only the feeling of menthol could take away the cravings. I am terrified of what could happen to my resolve if this option is not available to me. How much more tempting will those cigarettes which disgust me now be when there is no alternative?

Vaping has done the same for me. I smoked for over 30 years. About ten years I quit smoking and buying cigarettes, but I was always asking for a cigarette one day I asked my sister for a cigarette. She handed me a Mod and said try this. For the last five years I haven’t touched a cigarette. Can’t stand them.
What would I do without vaping. I don’t think the government has any idea how many of us vape. I don’t try to hide it but I vape in the privacy of my home, car or a way from the public. I walk by someone everyday that is smoking. It’s the young people that get the bad vape not all us older people. Young people can’t afford the high class mods and E-Juice that we use. So the government needs to ban all e-cigarettes out of service stations and small convent stores.

Vaping saved my life, the one I will continue to cherish and spend time with my family. I was a heavy smoker, going through almost 3 packs a day for 25+ years. I knew I needed to quit, as my dad was also a heavy smoker and the headaches he went through. I tried the gum, to see it the chewing action would satisfy and fulfill the urge, but it didn’t and tasted rather nasty. I tried the patch, but that failed as well. Cold Turkey failed as well. Each trial and failure left me feeling down and out and increased my smoking habit. Luckily my wife had by that point researched Electronic Cigarettes or E-Cigarettes and couldn’t find any negative reviews or studies side effects or anything bane in the news about them. The one thing most apparent was the Positive results in easily aiding people to break their smoking habit. I too at first was quite skeptical, reading the amount of success stories…seemed like it was too good to be true. So one day, my wife and I visited one of the local shops aka Brick n Mortar aka Vape Shops and was schooled in the many aspects of starting out. Those guys that spoke to us, you could clearly see let alone hear the Passion they had as they spoke to us. That shop grew rather busy too, while we were there, and this guy humbly brought us down to one end of the shop to better hear our questions and not be interrupted. It wasn’t about any sale for him, it was more about where he believed I would be comfortable starting out, if I felt willing to give it a go. Back than it was all entirely new to me, and I started out with a basic ego pen style kit. It had small rechargeable batteries and disposable tank. I didn’t want anything tobacco flavored or related, as I wanted to quit smoking and not drag anything further along. I was also not any kind of mint or menthol fan. I still had flavor choices to try and choose from, and that was helpful. I wasn’t eager to jump into any of the sweet cereal like flavors and wasn’t too sure about the range of fruit flavors either. I was still bashful in a way and had saw that they also had a Coffee flavor E-Juice. I enjoy the Taste of coffee, so I decided to run with it. I started out with a Coffee flavor juice at 24mg nicotine level on a Friday and began my journey. I never smoked in my house, and had always stepped outside to indulge, with my new kit…I didn’t have to. Every time I started to feel that itch, I tried the vape pen. After a few hits, that itch went away ! I couldn’t believe it, i was no longer thinking about stepping outback and having a smoke. I had the last few cigarettes in my pack between Saturday and Sunday morning, but by the time Monday rolled around I didn’t feel that anxious desire to smoke. Between that Friday afternoon and Sunday night, I managed to walk away from smoking. I continued to used that coffee flavor at 24mg nicotine strength for a month, at which point I stepped down to the same flavor but at only 18mg strength. After about another month, I stepped down to 12mg strength and also ventured to try a Chocolate flavor ejuice… which I also later mixed with my coffee flavor. Another successful month later I moved to 6mg strength, and was open to trying a couple of fruit flavors. Soon I made it down to 3mg strength which was barely anything, especially from where I started out at. I am still smoke free and approaching my 6 year mark ! After that first month of being smoke free, I was able to breathe easier and not have any coughing spells. My sense of taste and smell increased too, and the best part was I no longer reeked of cigarette smell. I also increased my working knowledge of battery safety and other devices that enhanced my experience in bringing out the flavor that much more. I had options with different types of tanks, and began building my own coils and was able to control where I enjoyed the flavors I like. Having all those variables assisted me in my endeavor. I continued to share my knowledge with others, who were also seeking a desire to quit the habit. I would hate to see this aid become obsolete, as it has already helped so many folks quit. On top of the fact where as all the Shops and companies here in the US have so many people employed. Many have that same passion to help others quit too, and that’s priceless. I consider myself an advocate, and will continue to fight for my right, and for those who have yet crossed over.

I smoked unfiltered Camels for 30 years – “cutting back” to about a pack a day – and feeling it in the lungs…that hacking cough each morning when I woke up. I finally said, “That’s it,” and bought my first (awful) vape pen. It took a while, but finally I found a vape system and flavors that made it possible to simply stop smoking cigarettes. Period. That was over 4 years ago and I have not even had a puff off a cigarette since. Lungs are clear. I have my wind back. Feel great in the morning. Don’t stink. (Never have to have an associate ask me to step back from them so they can escape the cigarette reek anymore.) Even my doctor said that nicotine never was the dangerous part of smoking – and vaping eliminates the toxic chemicals one breathes in when smoking burning tobacco. (And that’s a doctor!) Vaping may not be for everyone. And if someone doesn’t smoke, then I suggest they don’t start vaping OR cigarettes. Why go there? But for those of us who did smoke, vaping completely solved my need for a cigarette and I was able to completely stop cold turkey and never go back. Probably the big upset with governments is the tax dollars states are losing when people quit smoking. Well, they were the ones who said they were raising taxes to get us to quit. Now that we’re quitting, they seem to want us to go back. Hmmm.

I started smoking when I was 11 years old. I’m 35 now. I never really thought about quoting until I had kids. I tried everything to quit smoking. Nothing worked. Then I found out about vaping. I bought a starter kit and some dragon fruit juice. However I wasn’t really ready to quit. I was vaping and smoking. After a while I just decided it was time to really quit. I tried other flavors, ranging from strawberry, watermelon, to desert flavors, like cookies and cream and custard flavors. I am now cigarette free. Have been for 2 years. I never would have quit if it wasn’t for flavors.

I was a tobacco chewer for 10 years. I could just see my gums receding more and more each and every year. Went to the dentist and they said I needed to have a surgical procedure to remove some skin from the upper part of my mouth to the gun area where it had been receding, unless I quit chewing for good. I scared me to death and really gave me a lot of anxiety. It was that day though that I decided I would never chew another day in my life but still needed nicotine. I already had a friend who successfully quit smoking with vaping so I though maybe it could work with chewing too. Both are nicotine so why not. Well 6-7 years later I haven’t had another chew since that dentist appointment and it’s all around me. Not even an urge. Vaping literally saved my life. Look up Tony Gwynn if you don’t believe how bad chewing is. See wear he is at today. But I have been living a tobacco free life for years now and I couldn’t be happier👌
