National Save Vaping Day

The ongoing negative media backlash of false information & unfair bans are sweeping the great nation, hindering our rights to choose a better alternative to smoking and to live a healthier life. We as vapers know what it’s like to have an uncontrollable cough in the morning, afternoon & evening.  We know how it feels to be out of breath just walking up a flight of stairs.  We understand the feeling of not smiling in family pictures because our teeth have yellowed from years of inhaling the toxic smoke of cigarettes.  We know this because we have lived it each and every day for years.  Vaping has not only given us an escape from the destructive force of combustible cigarettes, it has given us hope that we can live a longer life to see our children grow up.  It has given us a whole new life.  One without the hardships of tar and other carcinogens infused so secretly within that little roll of paper and leaves.

It is shocking to us that none of these people are stopping to think about what vaping is truly doing to help public health.  When gums and patches have failed numerous times for millions of people, vaping has stood proudly in helping people quit. The idea of vaping as being a gateway to smoking is such an absurd idea.  We as ex-smokers understand that from vaping, the lingering taste of burnt tobacco in our mouth is no longer a pleasant thought.  The smell of cigarettes on our clothes and stains of yellow from the tar on our sleeves is something we just don’t even want to experience any more. Why would you want to get into this horrible circumstance when you can smell good and not have a disgusting taste in your mouth. Furthermore, the feeling you get from a cigarette is a feeling of being lethargic and sometimes nauseous.  How can something like that sound good to anyone?

Listen to what real vapers saying:

This following statement was written by Jordan Turner, "I smoked at least a pack a day for 15 years… I’ll never go back to the burning paper and ash taste of smoking.” Here's another statement made by Felicia, "After years of smoking I developed COPD, since I started to vape again my COPD is under control. I don’t have the smell of cigarettes, nor the chemicals put into cigarettes. I definitely don’t miss smoking.”  Another direct statement from Eddie, "I smoked cigarettes for 15 years, 2 packs a day. I could not stop. I tried so many times, and couldn’t even last a day. I saw e-cigs, and thought it was worth a shot. This was in early 2011. From that day, I never touched a cigarette again.” So with these words from real people how can you claim it is a gateway to smoking when none of us vapers would ever go back.

What should be really targeted:

The Media only focuses on what is presented to them and they stand by without question. They don’t dare to try and look at the issue any other way than how the news wants them to look.  They are told that vaping is evil so in their eyes because it came from the news that is must be true. They don’t try to see it for the positive impact it has had on millions of peoples lives. They won’t listen to the truth because it’s so much easier to hate something than it is to actually accept it. All of these people who are getting ill from vaping are vaping illegally made THC cartridges and e-liquid. Products that have been home made by individuals just to make a quick buck on the black market. These are the individuals who should be targeted as evil.  They are ones targeting our children and they are the ones who are truly to blame for making people ill.

The Vaping community understands the need for regulation and we have complied to all the rules that have been placed upon the industry since it started to become a true solution to quit smoking. However, these illegally created THC vapes are not complaint and never will and they are the underlying factor in the vaping illnesses. They are the ones who need to be looked hard at and punished, not the vape industry because we have done everything we can to provide a safer alternative to smoking and follow all of the strict rules given to us by our government. Don’t blame someone who has done nothing wrong and don’t look away when we try to tell you who is responsible.

The Truth has been discovered:

The Following is an NBC News Article that outlines the very truth that the vaping industry is not to blame for all these vape related sicknesses.  It is a scientific test conducted that shows how illegally manufactured THC marijuana vapes are tainted with Hydrogen Cyanide! The following statement is directly from that article stated by the CDC Centers For Disease Control: "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says most of the patients reported using vapes containing THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Some state health officials have indicated that Vitamin E acetate, a solvent used to "cut" cannabis for use in vape pens, may be responsible for the outbreak.” It is also clear in the article that vapes from legal dispensaries whom actually follow the strict regulation and guidelines of manufacturing vapor products tested negative to any of these dangerous chemicals like heavy metals, pesticides and Vitamin E.  However, samples tested on products from the black market tested positive to all these dangerous chemicals.

I for one can’t stand by and just complain to my friends and family about this anymore. Vaping changed my life for the best back in 2014 my Fiancee was operated on to remove cancer and we both knew after that we had to quit smoking but we just couldn’t do it with any of the methods that we tried and then we decided to try vaping because my mother and uncle switched and talked us into it. I haven’t smoked a cigarette since and now I am worried that if vaping is Banned that I won’t have any other option but to go back to smoking. I wake up feeling better than I ever had when I was a smoker. I make my own e-liquid and I buy liquid from my local vape shop and I know that my life has been extended because of vaping. These issues on the news never started until they started selling THC cartridges and that’s where the problem is. Also the fact that Big Tobacco companies are losing money because less people are buy there bullshit. Vaping has been a major part of my life and I refuse to give it up without one hell of a fight.

Deidra

I am 48 years old. I smoked for 23 years. I was hooked almost immediately. After a few years I wanted to quit so bad. I was always paranoid about how I smelled. I would quit during my
3 preganancys. But as soon as I could I started back. I hated myself for being so weak. My kids would run up and love on me I would be distanced because I would have that horrible odor.
I had bronchitis so severe that even my doctor said it was the worst he had seen. Even that did not stop me.
Finally I found a gas station disposable vape. It was nasty, expensive and gave me headaches but I was able to stop. I started looking into something called ejuice and eventually went into my first vape store. I quit by using cinnamon candy flavor. I started vaping 9 years ago and never looked back. I do not wheeze or crackle when I breath.

I’m a 47 year old man who has experienced most of what is already been written smoking non-stop from an early age all the ill health effects bronchitis pneumonia nicotine stained walls all of the negative consequences previously mentioned in the other comments. The comment I wish to make however is that I make my own juice and was taught from somebody that owns a vape shop I use only vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol capella flavoring based in PG and nicotine based in VG. I do not sell the juice therefore I’m not sure which category I fit into but I am concerned that I will not be able to buy the ingredients that I need to make juice any longer due to these bogus claims in the media.

I picked up smoking when I was 19 at work. I just did it because my friends smoked and I thought I was above the addiction. But inevitably within months I was up to a little more than a pack a day. This went on for 3 or 4 years until my dad died from brain cancer caused by smoking. Pretty quickly after this I started vaping and haven’t touched a cigarette since. Flavors were key in getting me off cigarettes. It made it appealing to stick with it. And honestly the smell of cigarette smoke made me nauseous afterwards. I have been smoke free for almost 4 years now and I know that it saved me from the same death that took my dad.

JOHN L. HOPPER

I smoked for 42 years, pack to pack and a half a day….wish I had the money for all those years, thanks to a strong support system and my novo, I quit….

They talk of revolution, you take our juice away, it’s on…

Peace and puppies from Phoenix, peace out….

Kelly

I have been a smoker for at least 30 years, I smoked a pack, maybe two a day.
I Would have a terrible hacking cough every day (mornings were the worst), Always had to have gum in my mouth , and spray in my car to attempt to cover up the smell.
My clothes and hands reeked of cigarettes, and I hated it.
I hated the taste, I hated the smell and would feel terrible to excuse myself to go smoke, I hated how much time away it took out of my life, but I just couldn’t quit.

Then 3 years ago this November, I was thinking I might be having a heart attack and we went to ER. My oxygen intake was lower than normal and they did a chest X-ray and the Dr. told me that I was on the verge of getting COPD. This freaked me out, because I knew deep down before this that I was pretty bad…but not that bad!

I quit that day! I went to vape because it is the motion, feeling and action that I missed, and not the cigarette. I started vaping and I never liked the cigarette taste to begin with, so I smoke the sweet banana nut bread, and I am loving not smelling, and if people smell my vape they say OMG, that smells good!
It actually made me cough up much yucky stuff, and eventually totally clear out my lungs!
I am 52, non CIGARETTE smoker for 3 years this November, with NO signs of COPD, and I can take in deep breaths now with no coughing, wake up with no coughing, and walking into a room full of non-smokers, would never know I had been , since they only smell my perfume.
I have started with 18% nicotine and have brought myself down to 4. I will be totally nicotine free hopefully soon, but I would still vape, because I like it, and I like the taste of the flavors.

What will happen if vaping wasn’t an option? I don’t even want to think about it.

LoriS

I started smoking at 11 years old, becoming a heavy smoker by 15 due to the fact that my mother condoned my smoking! Christmas and birthday would always include a carton of Parliament cigarettes! I recall taking a course and they said we’d have to give up smoking for the week, I stood-up and said “oh no, not I!” Other’s tried that after I did and it didn’t work. I felt so empowered by SMOKING! So I thought I’d NEVER give them up. I was blonde, blue-eyed..the world at my feet. Every video of me I am holding a cigarette! My poor daughter! I loved smoking! Then I had an opportunity to go deep into the Peruvian jungle to study the large macaws, (my passion), no smoking allowed! I quit for a bit..craving constantly! Came back, went to work and started right back up again. But wait…then I got a vape, pina colada, YUMMY! NEVER GOING BACK, NEVER EVER EVER!!! Thank You very much! 500, yes 500 devices later I’m a CRAZY VAPING FOOL! I give them away to help people quit. I’m a hospice nurse so I see WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE GASPING FOR THEIR LAST BREATH! It’s literally like watching a fish gasping for air when they’re out of water. Horrible, horrific. Please don’t take my vape away. It’ll be the single most serious mistake that the health industry would make EVER!

Frank Johnson

My name is Frank Johnson I started smoking cigarettes when I was a teenager. I’m 29 now. I tried many different things to quit. I tried gum, mints, patches, medication and nothing worked. I accepted that I would never be able to quit and I would die from smoking cigarettes. That was until I was introduced to vaping. I started out using a 6mg Butterscotch flavored e juice. Along with many others Blue berry, cereal, fruits, and candies. The flavor alone was the key factor in helping me quit. It made it much more appealing to stick with it. I have been 100% cigarette free for 2 years. I have also been able to lower my nicotine down to 3mg. Which I was unable To do with a cigarette. My health is better even though I’m a type 1 diabetic hence another reason I’m glad I quit smoking and I enjoy life and can do more activities with my children now.
